you don't know what you are missing. Crisp cool mornings, elk
bugling in the pre-dawn darkness, the musky smell of an elk wallow.
All this coupled with the excitement of close encounters with one of
natures most intense big game animals, makes for an exhilarating
hunt. There is definitely nothing like bow hunting for elk in the
wilds of Colorado.

Wilderness pack-in
(fully guided)
All of our guided bow hunts are
wilderness pack-in, out of our base camp deep in the heart of prime
elk habitat. The area consist of deep grassy
valleys,
timbered ridges and mountain sides that
reach to timberline and above. Numerous wallows decorate the many
secluded basins. This exciting bow hunt will find you bugling bulls
at daybreak to sitting active wallows during the day. All of our
guided hunts are 2 hunters per guide. We also have spike camps that
are set in even more remote areas. These camps allow us to hunt
areas that seldom see a hunter. This camp specializes in small
groups and high success. These hunts are 6 days with a day on each
end for travel ( 8 days total package).

Private land outfitted
(semi-guided)
This is a great combination elk and mule deer bow hunt.
There are also a lot of color phase black bears, and a private lake
full of rainbow and brook trout. Our ranch also adjoins a large
tract of the Uncompahgre
National Forest with the only access through private land. It also
adjoins a state
wildlife area. This ranch offers a great bow hunting opportunity
seldom found today. This hunt has produced several P&Y quality
animals over the years, and it just seems to get better each year.
You will stay in a nicely equipped cabin. We developed this hunt as
a hybrid of a guided hunt and a drop camp. You are provided with
lodging, 2 home cooked meals,
plus a sack
lunch each day, riding horses, tree stands and a guide in camp to
show you the ranch. This hunt allows you the freedom of a drop camp,
to hunt on your own without all the cooking and camp chores. All you
have to do is concentrate on bagging that big bull. You are
outfitted with everything you need to have a successful bow hunt. If
you like the challenge of elk hunting on your own with all the
extras of a full service hunt, this is the one for you. These are
great elk hunts for the veteran bowhunter and novice alike.
